About Semantic Partners

Semantic Partners is a specialist consultancy in ontologies, knowledge graphs and semantic layers. We help enterprises in healthcare and life sciences, energy, the public sector and manufacturing make their data mean the same thing to people, systems and AI.

We build to open standards (RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL), use our own tooling to test and govern the models we deliver, and leave client teams able to run what we build. We also train teams, from engineers to product leaders, in ontology design.

The role

We are hiring our first dedicated marketing lead. You will own Semantic Partners' marketing from end to end: brand, website, search, paid media, content, social media, events and reporting. It is a hands-on role. You will set the plan, do much of the work yourself, and be accountable for the results.

Your first priority is helping enterprise buyers find us. Most of our search traffic today comes from people who already know our name, plus trainees and job seekers. We want data and AI leaders who are looking for an ontology or knowledge graph partner to find us first, without needing a referral.

You will report to a Partner, work closely with our consultants and our in-house web team, and have regular strategic support from a senior adviser with long experience of enterprise buyers.

What you will do

  • Own the marketing plan and budget, and report results to the management board every month.
  • Lead search: pages built for buyers, technical SEO with our web team, and visibility in AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews.
  • Run paid media on Google Ads and LinkedIn, including competitor campaigns. Test in stages and move budget to what produces qualified enquiries.
  • Produce content with our consultants: interviews, articles, reports, case studies and webinars, on a steady calendar and to a high standard of accuracy.
  • Run the company's LinkedIn presence and help consultants build their own.
  • Plan and run webinars and roundtables for senior data, AI and compliance leaders.
  • Market our training courses and support partner marketing with systems integrators.
  • Keep marketing data clean in our internal platform, so every enquiry is tracked to its source.
  • Brief and manage freelance writers and designers.

Your first six months

  1. Make measurement trustworthy. Enquiries tracked end to end, bot traffic filtered out, and a monthly report the board relies on.
  2. Launch buyer search. New buyer-focused pages live, and staged Google Ads and LinkedIn tests running against clear success criteria.
  3. Run the first campaigns. Semantic layers for AI, ontology training for teams, and compliance.
  4. Answer the open questions. Which channels, messages and offers bring qualified enquiries, and where to spend more.

What you will bring

  • Senior B2B marketing experience, typically seven years or more, ideally selling expert services or complex technology to enterprise buyers.
  • Hands-on experience running SEO, Google Ads and LinkedIn campaigns yourself, not only through agencies.
  • Confidence with data: GA4, Search Console and ad platforms. You report plainly, including what did not work.
  • Strong writing. You can turn technical material into clear content for senior readers without dumbing it down.
  • Curiosity about a technical field. You do not need to know ontologies today, but you will want to learn.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative. As our only marketer, you will set the pace.

Useful but not essential

  • Experience in data, AI, consultancy or regulated industries.
  • Running events and webinars for senior audiences.
  • Using AI tools in content production, with proper human review.
  • Knowledge of UK advertising rules on comparative and performance claims.

What we offer

  • £60-75,000 plus pension, holiday allowance, bonus
  • Ownership of the brand and a direct line to the leadership team.
  • A budget to test, and to grow what works.
  • Places on our own ontology and knowledge graph training.
  • Remote First - very occassional team meetings in London
